begin to work

Cinema4D has a rich render admin tool that will help you create the best part, the results of your work!

I came to Cinema4D from the perspective of Web Design so the render settings I choose are typically to create content for a web site. Cinema4D has a much wider audience and client base.buy cinema 4d   It is used much more for movies, advertising, and special effects so some of the file size constraints and bandwidth performance considerations for the Web are meaningless for these other media. You can create output from Cinema4D with a nice large 'avi' file then reduce your final composition in After Effects or Flash.

To manage and configure your render options look to the three thumbnail menus in the center of your main pull down menu, to the left of the primitives. These render menu's are identified with a director's slate clapboard thumbnail.

The first is simply a 'one click' render active view which does just that. cheap cinema 4d It will create a rendering of the current view, the current frame, with your current settings including which objects you have set to active render. The next provides render viewing options which serve different situations in your composition development. more info The third could be thought of as the 'information configuration', the settings that tell Cinema4D how to render your composition.

Under the general render setting you have full render, software preview, hardware preview, and CineMan. You will most often use the full render option. The software preview will render the scene as it looks in the viewport. buy cinema 4d  The CineMan render option is used to produce output for other compatible renders such as Pixar.

The 'Output' option presents more granular options such as width and height, resolutions settings. Here you define a frame range with its default being simply the current frame. You will change this to 'all frames' if you wish to render your complete composition. You can designate partial frames to render only part of your composition. cheap cinema 4dThis is very useful as your more complex creations demand a longer render time. It is also useful for rendering a portion that might serve multiple instances as a 'library routine'.

The save options present the options for where you will save your Cinema4D (.c4d) file. Here you have options for the output format from TIFF layers to a Quicktime with many options in between. You choose an alpha channel here if you want your render to include transparency. Under save is a section for 'Compositing Project File' and this is where you will designate output for a companion product, the most popular being After Effects. There you would check box to include 3D data and enter full path and name for After Effects Output file. It is a good practice to use the same name for your '.c4d' and After Effects '.aec' file for Cinema4D's sanity and your own bookkeeping.

There are many other options under the render settings but you will find that it is quite easy to provide the information for your first renders and begin to familiarize yourself with other settings that make it easy to work with other presentations and special effect applications such as After Effects.

What could be more seductive than being able to create reality then bend it to your own vision? In our media world we see animated characters, funny bouncy text in our commercials and banners, buy cinema 4d but creating your own world can be the most intriguing invitation from your 3D graphics applications. Let's meet landscape.

Cinema4D 'landscape' is a great way to get a head start on your landscape modeling scene. When you choose landscape from your primitive menu, you already have a detailed contoured landscape. With adjustment parameters like 'rough furrows' and 'sea level' you have a primitive that is already designed for this type model. You can focus on appearance with adjustable parameters that describe land and contour.

Landscape is a primitive which you can choose directly from the primitive pull down menu. In the attributes manager, make an expansive landscape, perhaps 5,000 for X and Z (width and depth), cheap cinema 4d and 500 for Y (height). You can use the magnet tool to carve out a water pool or more pronounced curvature in your landscape.

An introduction to some of the adjustable parameters, crossed with a Sci-Fi movie can be an exercise in animating your landscape. Animate it coming into being, breathing in life and new substance. more info We could really have some fun here with volcanoes and explosions of inner Earth but it might be more useful to focus on the landscape itself and save some of the pyrotechnics for later.

Our Earth creation must have the substance of Life, there must be water. Probably the best way to create water is with an emitter. Add an emitter then create a small sphere or capsule.buy cinema 4d   Make your sphere object a child of the emitter by dragging in on top. Be sure and check the 'Show Objects' parameter for your emitter which will tell it to replace the default particle with the child objects you have chosen. This lets you replace particles with any of your choosing. Here we want a simple, quick cartoon appearance of rushing water. Place your emitter in the mountains. You will have to do some adjustments, align your flow of water coming out of the mountains. At first have the flow move away from the mountains, and then add some 'gravity' or a 'deflector' from the emitter menu to style your water flowing down the mountainside.

I've had fun animating the landscape height. cheap cinema 4d This is my mountain range coming into being. You can adjust the 'plateau' to create a desert plateau appearance. You can adjust the emitter values such as birthrate and seed to develop the appearance of your waterfall and you can set a start or stop emission at any frame in your composition. In our adventure here, you can have your water and waterfall come into being as your mountains rise out of the sea!

In addition to the material options, special channels and shaders, Cinema4D provides channels that help define a more varied surface somewhat like a terrain. These two channels are the bump and displacement channels which are quite similar but also different in important ways.

As you use the material editor more, navigation will become easier and more familiar.buy cinema 4d It is also quite useful when you are using the material editor to open the new material in its own window by right clicking on the material thumbnail in the editor and choosing 'open window'. This will open a window for the material you are defining and will reflect your changes as you make them.

We've used the 'interactive render region' tool under your render options menu. This let's you define an area of your composition for dynamic rendering, allows you to see your additions and modifications as you apply them without doing a complete file render. When you open the graphic window option of your material editor, in like fashion you will see all your additions and changes in real time.

To use the bump channel, choose File->New Material, cheap cinema 4d (open your thumbnail image), and click the bump channel option in the channel list. The default channels on a new material are 'color' and 'specular'; you will see boxes automatically checked. When I am experimenting with a new channel, or a new effect with any application, more info I try to keep it simple by adding it alone to fully appreciate the changes this property brings into the picture. In this case, you need color checked to see bump channel changes and specular is a nominal channel effect.

Under the bump options, choose a texture and you will immediately see it applied to your template. Obviously, some are more profound than others. Choosing noise is a great way tobuy cinema 4d  see a very noticeable surface applied immediately but there are many options to experiment with. There is a 'surfaces' option with the bump channel which presents some predefined surfaces like 'earth', 'galaxy', 'fire' which apply an image of planet earth, a spinning galaxy, or rising flame.

The bump channel works with appearances. cheap cinema 4d There is an appearance of noise, of a surface pattern applied, the object surface. The displacement channel, however, can be thought of as geometric, actually redefining the surface terrain. The displacement channel has a property, 'Sub-Polygon Displacement' which actually calculates the distance, the 'peeks and valleys' of your newly defined object. The displacement channel renders a more mathematically true replica. It is more impressionable and yes, it uses more memory and takes longer to render.
